Rob Tyler is the founder of and Lead Advisor at Tyler Wealth Management. Rob graduated from Ball State University in 1995 with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, concentrating in Corporate Finance and Financial Institutions. Rob has been involved in various aspects of the financial planning process and industry since January 1995. He began teaching the Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement® seminar in 1998 and has been responsible for comprehensive financial planning and wealth management since that time. From 2001-2012 Rob was a part-time adjunct instructor at Ball State University in the Department of Finance, teaching Personal Finance, Principals of Investment Management, Business Law, and Employee Benefits and Retirement Planning; and in the Department of Management and Marketing, teaching Professional Selling. In 2023, Rob returned to the classroom at Ball State to teach the Senior capstone case course, FIN 480 - Financial Planning Process. Rob has served on the Investment Committee of The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County, Inc. since July 2021.
Growing up in rural Ohio and Indiana with parents who chose public service as their careers, Rob knows the importance of hard work and the value of a dollar. He has invested his career helping working people like his father (a civil engineer) and his mother (a church and school secretary) make important decisions about their investments and insurance. With more than 28 years of experience, Rob leads the team at Tyler Wealth Management in the financial planning process for clients. Rob and his team help people just like you when it comes to the stewardship of their finances and the preparation for their financial independence.
Rob and his wife Julie were married on September 28, 1996 and live in Yorktown, Indiana. They attend University Christian Church in Muncie and are involved in various ministry and service functions with their church family. Julie graduated from Ball State University in 1996 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and was employed as a Case Manager at Comprehensive Mental Health Services (now Meridian Health Services) in Muncie for nine years. Rob and Julie have two children: Madeline born in 2003 and Nathaniel born in 2006. In addition to financial planning, Rob enjoys playing golf, hunting, reading, and exercising. Together Rob and Julie support the Ball State University community as Cardinal Varsity Club members and season ticket holders, as well as by attending civic and social events.
